The Titleist Pro V1 & Pro V1X just got better. Long-established as the number one ball in Golf, Titleist have introduced significant changes to the Pro V1 and Pro V1X. A new core has made the three-piece Pro V1 longer than its predecessor. In addition a new 352 dimple pattern promotes a more penetrating ball flight.

The four-piece Pro V1X launches higher with a new 328 dimple design. However, tour players such as Jordan Spieth have commented on more consistency and an improved ball flight. Durability and feel also keep both Titleist Pro V1 & Pro V1X ahead of the competition.

Since Titleist launched the Pro V1 Franchise in ‘2000’ the landscape of premium golf balls changed forever. More has changed since then, with more independent testing. Golfers are using launch monitors, and are generally more educated about the equipment they are using. These changes have not undermined Titleist Pro V1 & Pro V1X as the number one golf ball, and for good reason.

Titleist employs over 80 people including engineers, technicians & scientists, who all work on Titleist Golf Balls at their HQ in Fairhaven, Massachusetts. As a new product comes to market, they have already started working on improvements for the next model. This might include better aerodynamics, new materials or processes.

Titlesit Prov1 & ProV1X is created by a team of engineers, scientists and technicians.

Why might Golfers switch from ProV1X to ProV1 this time around?

Matt Hogge, Titleist’s director of product implementation for golf balls thinks it’s because; “We’ve made Pro V1 longer. Players previously played Pro V1X because it was the longer ball, but now Pro V1 is roughly of equal distance. It’s now about spin, flight and feel, and those are the main things golfers want to know about. Pro V1 feels softer, Pro V1X flights higher. Pro V1 also spins less than Pro V1X for most golfers.”
