Aluminium is significantly lighter than titanium, which is why this model marks our first modern non-titanium driver. The collar is forged from premium aircraft-grade 7075 aluminium and meticulously machined to exacting tolerances. This precision engineering allows golfers to benefit from full adjustability within a maximum moment of inertia (MOI) head, without compromising speed.
For golfers looking to increase clubhead speed, the ultra-light specification package features the lightest head mass, shaft and grip across the Qi4D range. The oversized head shape is designed to prioritise inertia and stability, delivering maximum forgiveness on off-centre strikes while maintaining optimal clubhead speed.
FACE BUILT FOR DISTANCE
Qi4D Max drivers feature a newly refined roll radius that promotes more consistent spin performance across a wide range of vertical impact locations. The 60x Carbon Twist Face™ acts as a key technological element, providing substantial weight savings alongside exceptional ball speed and improved consistency when compared to a traditional titanium face.
ADJUSTABLE PERFORMANCE
This model is equipped with a single 4g Trajectory Adjustment System weight, allowing golfers to fine-tune swing weight with ease and maintain flexibility when changing components. The colour-matched 4° loft sleeve enables adjustments to loft, lie and face angle, optimising ball flight while delivering a cohesive, premium appearance that complements the aluminium collar.
REAX™ SHAFTS
REAX™ shafts introduce a revolutionary approach to shaft fitting, developed through the analysis of more than 11 million shots collected over 20 years. This data-driven system allows golfers to quickly identify their rotation rate and select a shaft that best matches their swing profile. Improved shaft fitting encourages more centred contact, resulting in increased speed, distance and accuracy. Supported by Mitsubishi Chemical’s world-leading materials expertise and manufacturing processes, these shafts are engineered to perform across a wide range of swing styles and player types.
TOUR-PROVEN TECHNOLOGIES
The newly developed cut-through Speed Pocket™ is designed to preserve ball speed and reduce spin on low-face strikes. Advanced CAD modelling has been used to create a clean, powerful sound at impact — a defining characteristic of TaylorMade driver performance. Multi-Material Construction allows engineers to strategically distribute mass within the head, optimising both speed and stability.
SPECIFICATIONS
The Qi4D Max ultra-light driver features a 460cc head with an adjustable lie angle ranging from 58° to 62° and a swing weight of D0 across all models.
The driver is available in 10.5° and 12° lofts, both offered in right- and left-handed options. Each model is built to a standard length of 45.75 inches.
SHAFT OPTION
The driver is paired with the lightweight Mitsubishi REAX™ MR40 Blue shaft, available in 40R and 40A flexes, designed to help golfers maximise clubhead speed and launch efficiency.
GRIP OPTION
The standard grip is the Golf Pride Z-Grip Black/White, featuring a 0.600 core and a lightweight 43-gram construction.
