Custom Fitting Step by Step

Step 1 – Finding Out Your Needs

No one knows your golf game better than you do. That’s why our first step of a custom fit is to find out where it is you’re keen to improve. This gives our professionals a clear picture and means they can be as efficient as possible during the fitting. Whether it’s more forgiveness or more distance, our team will suggest the best options to help achieve these goals. Their wealth of knowledge, from years of experience, means they know the best ways to improve your golf. This applies to both beginners and experienced players, which is why a custom fit is a great option for everyone.

Step 2 – Finding The Perfect Shaft

The shaft is arguably the most influential and important parts of the golf club. Therefore, finding the right shaft weight and flex is of paramount importance. Our professionals will identify the best option for both weight and flex to suit your swing. In doing so, they will maximise trajectory and distance, keeping dispersion as tight as possible in the process. A better suited shaft will help with approach shots to the flag, landing you closer to the target. This means you’ll have better chances to help you sink more putts and shoot lower scores. On your woods, the correct shaft will maximise distance from the tee and keep your drives in the middle of the fairway. All you’ve got to do is hit shots – our professional team will do the rest and find the perfect option for you.

Step 3 – Finding The Perfect Clubhead

Being confident when you step up to the ball is key to playing better golf. That’s why finding the right clubhead, which inspires confidence at address, is very important. Our team will help you decide between all of the options, from cavity backs to blades. Whether you’re looking for more forgiveness or workability will also play a part in deciding which is best for you. We find the option with the right profile for your game, with the earlier discussion about your goals in mind. The combination of the right clubhead and shaft will go a long way in helping you play better golf. Finally, we are beginning to see clubs which are tailored to YOUR individual golf game.

Step 4 – Length & Lie

Two of the most important factors in a centered strike are length and lie angle. By finding the correct measurement for both, we can help you find the middle of the clubface more often. This will keep your shot dispersion tighter and make approach shots more accurate. Our professionals will pay particular attention to lie angles, as this plays a greater role for taller or shorter golfers. All of the measurements are made using TrackMan technology, the most accurate option available.

Step 5 – Finding The Perfect Grip

Back in store, we will help you to decide the perfect grip to complete your new clubs. We’ve got a plethora of options, in different styles, sizes and colours. The correct grip will help promote consistency in your swing and will ultimately lead to better golf. We’ve got bigger grips for golfers with bigger hands, and grips with alignment aids too. When it comes to finding the right grip, we’ve really got something for everyone. Our professionals, having seen you hit shots on the range, will advise as to the best options. Better yet, the majority of grips are available at no extra cost.

Step 6 – Ordering Your Clubs

We then order your clubs directly from the manufacturer. They are built by them and shipped to us and checked upon arrival. We will make sure the clubs are exactly as you had them during your custom fitting. Once we’re satisfied, we will call you and let you know that they’re here.
