When you think of Ping, what is the first thought that come to mind? I believe most of you will instantly think, ‘Custom Fit’. This is because they have a rich history, spanning over 50 years of producing the finest quality golf equipment that is built for every individual’s different needs.
Ping have launched the G430 Driver for 2023. There are 4 options; G430 MAX, G430 SFT, G430 LST and the new G430 HL. With the Ping G430 Ping took one of the game’s most forgiving driver and made it even longer, while producing a more pleasing sound. A new face-design optimization leads to increased flexing for a big distance gain, and a 25-gram moveable backweight positions the CG to influence shot shape. Available in 9°, 10.5° and 12°.
The draw-biased SFT model (Straight-Flight Technology) has a new optimised, faster face that generates added distance, a new variable roll radius (Spinsistency), and a CG-shifting backweight that’s now moveable into Draw and Draw+ settings help the draw-biased SFT brings tee shots back into the fairway with right-to-left correction. And with improved acoustics, those long drives sound better than ever. Available in a 10.5° loft.
The LST is the head if you generate a lot of clubhead speed and rely on a more penetrating trajectory, the 440 cc LST accelerates ball speed with reduced spin, key contributors being a new Carbonfly Wrap and a newly optimised face featuring Spinsistency, combining for longer drives with a more pleasing impact experience. Available in 9° and 10.5°.
The HL is a type of head Ping have released, the model utilises lighter backweights (11g), the Alta Quick shaft and lighter grip to deliver more ball speed with extreme forgiveness. In testing, slower-swing-speed players gained on average nine yards with the HL build.
The Ping G430 Fairway woods come in 3 different heads, the G430 Max, G430 SFT and the G430 HL. With the G430 max you can size up long approach shots with 100% confidence that your G430 fairway will get you home. Ping have introduced Carbonfly Wrap technology to deliver more distance by positioning the CG closer to the force line to maximise ball speed, resulting in higher, longer carries. MAX available in 3W, 5W, 7W, 9W.
The SFT’s larger draw-biased head produces right-to-left shot correction, and it generates more speed, higher launch and longer carries benefiting from a new weight-saving Carbonfly Wrap composite crown that lowers the CG and elevates MOI so shots find the green. Available in 3W, 5W, 7W.
The G430 HL fairways rely on a 5.5-gram aluminum backweight, Alta Quick shaft and lighter grip to achieve lighter head and swingweights, making them easy-to-swing alternatives that will have you hitting more greens than ever.
The G430 Hybrids are available in two different head models the G430 and the G430 HL. With the G430 Ping have loaded the head with new innovations like Carbonfly Wrap to give you the added ball speed, distance and green-holding stopping power you need to take on any approach. Ping’s proven technologies Facewrap and Spinsistency are also here, and a tungsten backweight to ensure forgiveness. Available 2H thru 7H.
The HL hybrids help you swing faster and launch the ball higher and farther to reach more greens and stop the ball close, relying on a 5.5-gram aluminum backweight, Alta Quick shaft and Lamkin UTx Lite grip. Available 3H-7H.
Your shot making and your confidence will be sky high with the G430, which combines a lower CG with stronger lofts and a thinner face that deliver faster ball speed and significant distance gains without compromising PING’s famous forgiveness. The PurFlex cavity badge contributes to our longest iron ever. Available 4-PW, 45.5°, 50°, 54°, 58°. The lighter ALTA Quick (35/45) shaft is one component of the HL build that includes a 41-gram Lamkin UTx grip, and lighter toe and tip weights in the head, all designed to help slower-swing-speed players increase clubhead speed and ball velocity.
