ST-G 220

New for 2022, is Mizuno’s ST-G 220 range. A player’s deeper profile with the ball speed of Mizuno’s Forged BETA Ti SAT2041 clubface – and unmatched levels of adjustability for precise fitting. The ST-G now has shorter lateral weight tracks – allowing a new centre/back weight port. The combination of three tracks and two moveable weights enable the ST-G to morph from ultra-low spinning bomber to a highly playable mid-spinning option – with fade or draw bias in both. Alongside the ST-G 220 is Mizuno’s ST-X driver – a draw-biased carbon composite construction aided by a heel side sole weight. Built upon the 2nd generation of Mizuno’s Forged SAT2041 Beta Ti face – for potent ball speeds and consistent performance over time. Slower swing speeds will benefit from the J-Spec – incorporating an incredibly lightweight 39g MFusion graphite shaft. Completing the line up is Mizuno’s range of ST-Z fairway woods and driver. The ST-Z features a balanced toe/heel carbon composite construction with deep central back weight – for a spin efficient, straight-line ball flight.

Iron Fitting

Mizuno pride themselves as being one of the top forged iron manufacturers in the world.  A Japanese brand, based in the U.K. use some of the best materials in their clubheads in order to increase the feel through impact.  Whether its the JPX 921 range or the MP-20 Blades, Mizuno have every base covered.  Their extensive range of clubheads will suit both beginners and expert golfers alike.

The fall of 2020 has seen Mizuno Launch the new JPX921 Iron range. The line-up consists of four models. The JPX921 Tour, Forged, HotMetal & HotMetal Pro.

JPX921 Tour is consistently Mizuno’s most chosen model on the Tour among non-contracted professionals – the JPX900 Tour and JPX919 Tour were both played to win major championships. The stunning new JPX921 Tour maintains its predecessor’s surprising fusion of precision with stability from off-centre strikes. Now even thicker behind impact for an enhanced, softer feel, with noticeably refined short irons for smoother turf interaction.

The JPX921 Forged iron integrates the power of Chromoly into a full-body Forged iron for the very first time. Initially applied in Mizuno’s Hot Metal irons – Chromoly has made the cross over to a Mizuno’s forgings with staggering results. The fastest ball speeds Mizuno has ever produced from a fully Forged iron – a treat for both the senses and the scorecard. Grain Flow Forged in Hiroshima Japan.

The JPX921 Hot Metal irons pair Mizuno’s fastest ever ball speeds with a piercingly straight, ball flight and controllable landing angles. The 3rd generation of Mizuno irons to utilize the resilience of Chromoly – the JPX921 has the most complex face geometry to date for additional energy from the clubface. Choose the more Pro version for a more compact profile with reduced offset.

The wide range of steel and graphite shafts available mean the DNA fitting system has a large database in order to be able to pick out the best shafts for you.  Varying in weight, flex and feel.  All Steel shafts are included in the price, so no hidden up charges!

Our Qualified Custom Fitters can ensure you have the correct length of golf club for you to help ensure you maintain a centred strike at impact.  They will also ensure the Lie Angle is correct as this can reduce the amount of curvature on your iron shots.  1 degree out could be 8 yards of curvature in your ball flight.

Small or Large Hands?  Hook or Slice?  We can improve the comfort of the club in your hand or promote a straighter ball flight by adjusting the size of your grip.

Wedges

Mizuno’s latest wedge range is the T20. The ‘T’ in T20 actually stands for teardrop and accurately describes the shape of the clubhead, blending itself nicely with the MP20 iron range. The biggest new innovation is the Hydroflow Micro Grooves. The R&D team at Mizuno wanted to focus on providing consistency with these new wedges and so the idea of the grooves is that they can control spin rates better in different conditions, for example when it is very wet. To do this they have basically etched a series of vertical grooves to help force moisture off the face, which should maintain spin rates. These go alongside the existing CNC Milled Grooves, which vary in depth and width between lofts for optimum performance depending on shot length. Mizuno are renowned for their forging process and this is no different with the wedges. The T20 are Grain Flow Forged from carbon steel in their factory in Japan for that famous ‘Nothing Feels Like A Mizuno’ touch and feel.
