MAVRIK Fairway Woods.
Built for confidence with a large and expansive hitting area the MAVRIK Fairway Wood would be considered a fairway wood for all.
Large and expansive hitting area.
It incorporates a single, visible, fixed weight in the sole, center-back, to pull the CG low and back in the head for high launch and flat trajectory.
The progressive leading edge geometry adds to the ball speed design, and a generous heel camber is suited for versatility.
Available in 3+, 3 – 4 – 5 – and 7-wood.
Q. What type of golfer are these designed for?
A. Quite simply every golfer, it’s the club-head that could be used by a beginner to a professional.
It’s the fairway wood that Callaway would envisage everyone being able to enjoy, the other two models (Sub-Zero & Max) are most definitely aimed at a “certain type” of player with a wish list. MAVRIK knows no boundaries.
MAVRIK Sub Zero Fairway Wood
Sub-Zero, like the driver, features a more compact head size and is the easiest of the fairway woods to move both ways (on purpose!). Interchangeable weights allow us to change the flight of the ball during a fitting to help you achieve your goals.
Compact head, face shape, and leading edge architecture in the Sub Zero are preferred by better players who like to work the ball both ways.
The interchangeable weights (14g and 2g) in the sole at centre-back and centre-front are incorporated to adjust launch angle and spin-rate. Available in 3+ 3 – 4 – and 5-wood.
Q. What type of golfer are these designed for?
A. Historically low spinning fairway woods (unlike drivers) have been limited to golfers with high club-head speed. This is because the ball is sat on the ground, there isn’t any help in elevation at impact unlike a driver as the ball is on a tee. Therefore we would recommend this type of club to any handicap but golfers with faster swing speeds. Or to someone who doesn’t use a driver off the tee but prefers a fairway wood.
MAVRIK MAX Fairway Woods
MAX is, like the driver the most forgiving fairway wood in the range.
Largest and most forgiving head
Interchangeable weights in the sole at centre-back to promote easy launch and at the heel to promote a draw.
The face is shaped with a wider radius at the bottom to create more hitting area in the low-toe and low-heel regions, where higher handicappers need it.
The leading edge is noticeably lower for significantly better performance on shots that are hit low on the face. Available in 3+ 3 – 5 – Heavenwood, 7 – 9 – and 11 – wood.
Q. What type of golfer are these designed for?
A. The higher handicap golfer, slower swing speeds or anyone struggling to launch fairway woods. If you look at the options available to you these fairway woods will also act as hybrid and iron replacements as they range up to 25° loft in the 11 wood. If fairway woods are your go to clubs then reduce your iron set and increase your woods.
