The New Ping Crossover

‘Distance of a Hybrid, Control of an Iron.’

Ping have added something new to the golfing industry. Powerful and controllable and unlike anything you have ever seen before. Surprisingly it isn’t a wood, hybrid or iron.. That’s right, this sounds like a brain teasing riddle but we at Duncan Lambert Golf will explain all you need to know about this new kid on the block.

Extreme Heel-Toe Weighting – Ping have positioned additional weight vertically lower in the sole of the club head. This design characteristic promotes higher levels of forgiveness. Weight has also been spread across the heel and toe to increase the club head’s Moment of Inertia (MOI). MOI is the club head’s resistance to twisting when struck away from the centre of the club face. More perimeter weighting equates to higher MOI, more resistance to twisting.

Cascading Internal Sole – A thinner sole has been designed to help distribute shock levels across the entire face. The result is a club head that actively flexes during impact, creating more ball speed which delivers greater distance!

Iron-Style Carpenter 455 Face – 455 Carpenter Steel is stronger than traditional 17.4 Stainless steel. The performance benefit of this is increased ball speed caused by Ping’s hotter thin shell design. This thin shell design enables Ping to incorporate a iron style head with hybrid performance benefits.

Custom Fitting Options – We at Duncan Lambert Golf are able to customise your golf clubs to fit your individual requirements.
