Is it Time to Get a SuperStroke?

Ladies and gentleman from near and far, we at Duncan Lambert Golf have a question for you all. Is is time to get a SuperStroke? Well many of us sometimes wonder when things don’t go to plan, ‘is it me or my equipment?’ Obviously our technique is the biggest influence on the outcome of each and every shot but the equipment we use has a very important affect on our technique.

We’re pretty sure Harry Potter couldn’t have defeated the dark lord with a pencil as a replacement of his wand! Okay, okay, lets not get carried away in the world of wizardry and witchcraft but we’re sure you wouldn’t mind ‘abracadabra’ing’ a couple of putts off your score card!

SuperStroke have taken the golfing world by surprise over recent years. What started as an idea has become one of the greatest innovations the golf grip industry has ever seen. A small minority of tour players started to use a variety of SuperStroke grips and the rest is history. We now switch the T.V on to see that a small minority has become a big majority.

Lets get to grips with what these SuperStrokes bring to dance floor. SuperStroke have launched a theory of – SAY NO TO TAPER! Looking a little closer into this we will now explain what they mean by this.

Taper Explanation – A grip’s taper refers to how much smaller the grip gets from the butt of the grip towards the club head. Traditional putter grips are thicker at the butt end and reduce in size towards to club head, UNTIL NOW! SuperStroke decided to move in a different direction. SuperStroke grips do not taper like traditional putter grips and they call their designs Parallel Technology.

Even Grip Pressure – The result of NO TAPER encourages even grip pressure. We often hear that the best putting strokes are seen when both hands work as one. Grip taper causes a variety of grip pressure so the theory behind SuperStroke’s NO TAPER design is that equal grip pressure encourages equal hand input within a putting stroke.

Add Weight – Fine tune your putter feel by adjusting the grip weight with CounterCore Technology. Each CounterCore grip is equipped with a 50 gram weight that can be screwed into the top of the grip. This feature alters the swing weight of the putter to suit the players preferences.

Design Variations – SuperStroke have an extensive range of putter grip designs. They have a variation of designs which include: Standard, Pistol, Flatso, Squared, Plus and various CounterCore designs. Each design is available in a variety of sizes and colours. All of these grip variations enable the golfer to delve further into their putter grip customisations.
